Pier Genius frames incorporate pre-welded tabs that locate and bolt the frames to each other with NO drilling after galvanizing. Compare this to angle iron frames that do have to be drilled after the galvanization process. To drill and assemble those types of frames, the installer has to flip the frame upside down, set the float on it upside down, locate and drill the holes, bolt the float down, then flip the entire assembly over! On the Pier Genius dock, simply set the frame on top of the float, line up the holes and bolt the frame down with the supplied hardware. This preserves the galvanized surface and creates about 20% LESS work during installation. This is one more reason why installers love our docks and why our docks are Pier Genius!
